What does this visionary chef mean by her \u201cDelicious\u202fSolution\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>In the fall of\u202f2023, Alice\u202fWaters visited Japan.<br \/>\nWe\u202fAre\u202fWhat\u202fWe\u202fEat\u202f\u2014\u202fA\u202fDelicious\u202fSolution\u202fof\u202fAlice\u202fWaters captures her journey through Japan\u2014the people and landscapes she encountered, the meals she shared, and the insights that blossomed along the way.<\/p>\n<p>The film was made possible through a crowdfunding campaign supported by\u202f592\u202fbackers. Since its premiere, numerous screenings have taken place across Japan and abroad, receiving enthusiastic responses and official selections at several film festivals.<\/p>\n<p>We are delighted to announce that, starting April\u202f22,\u202f2026\u202f(Earth\u202fDay), the film will be available for online streaming.<\/p>\n<p>Earth\u202fDay, first celebrated in\u202f1970\u202fin the\u202fU.S., is now a global call to care for our planet, observed in more than\u202f190\u202fcountries through community markets and environmental actions. In harmony with that spirit, Alice\u202fWaters hosts her annual gathering in\u202fBerkeley, where a long table is set among the growing beds and a school\u2011lunch menu of seasonal, locally sourced vegetables is served. She invites farmers, producers, and educators to share the meal, creating a space where those who grow the food and those who care for the next generation can connect. Supported by many people, the documentary was completed in\u202f2024 and has since been seen by over\u202f20,000\u202fviewers nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>We designed this film not simply to be watched, but to be experienced together \u2014 around a shared table, through conversation and reflection. To our surprise, the film has now been shown in over\u202f250\u202flocations, from communities to schools and neighborhood caf\u00e9s \u2014 far beyond what we ever expected.<\/p>\n<p>Alice\u2019s message, \u201cFarmers\u202fFirst,\u201d has quietly taken root in many of these places.
